Community development districts may reference Chapter 190 as the uniform charter but must include information relating to any grant of special powers.

Date of Establishment:

Established June 1, 2011, by Ordinance No. 0-2011-21 granting those special powers to the CDD as set forth in Section 190.012(1) F.S. and Section 190.012(3) F.S.

6. A description of the boundaries or service area of, and the services provided by, the special district.

 

The Hollywood Beach Community Development District 1 (the “District” or “CDD”), which contains the hotel building, is located on two parcels situated east and west of North Ocean Boulevard (State Road A1A).  The District measures approximately 5.13 acres and is bounded by the Intracoastal Waterway on the west, Johnson Street on the north, Hollywood Beach Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean on the east and Michigan Street on the south.

 

Pursuant to an Interlocal Agreement between the District and the City, the District will finance the construction, operation and maintenance of the public portion of the garage (the “Public Garage Improvements”).

 

7. A listing of all taxes, fees, assessments, or charges imposed and collected by the special district, including the rates or amounts for the fiscal year and the statutory authority for the levy of the tax, fee, assessment, or charge. For purposes of this subparagraph, charges do not include patient charges by a hospital or other health care provider.

 

The CDD is authorized to levy, impose, collect, and enforce special assessments and fees pursuant to Chapters 170, 190, and 197 of the Florida Statues, however the District currently is not imposing any taxes, fees, assessments or charges.
